The Desire
to Keep Creating Art.

In 2000, my family bought our first personal desktop computer where we set up on a wooden side table in the dining room. The family computer booted for the first time; curiosity began to heighten when I noticed Microsoft Paint. This spark the initial interest to be creative.

During this time, my parents began calling me Muna. A nickname influenced by a Bangladeshi character played by a beloved actor of a movie. At that time, my parents and I did not know the meaning behind the name, but I've initially grown fond as it slowly became a part of my identity. Years later, I gained my personal computer with easier access to the internet. The nickname became a pseudonym on the internet; just a year before posting illustrations on Deviantart.

2016 was a breaking point. The art burnout was getting on to me as I questioned my identity and the perpetual self-doubt in my art skills. For the moment, I thought of reinventing myself. To do so, I need a new name with continuous motivation. Through the search engine, I looked up the definition of Muna. In Arabic, Muna means wish or desire. At that moment of time, despite the burnout, I still want to pursue art. The desire to keep on illustrating even when time gets tougher. With that message in mind, I added draws on after Muna. Short and simple remainder like me.
